About us

Our mission
Our mission is to ensure every person has access to equitable and affordable healthcare, to improve their quality of life and their health outcomes.
Chronic Care is a group of charities and advocacy groups in Atlantic Canada that have come together to advocate for people affected by chronic disease.
Our three priority areas
To identify and show discrepancies in healthcare affordability for Atlantic Canadians living with chronic disease, compared to the rest of the country.
To collect data on people’s access to proper and timely healthcare to be used in advocacy efforts.
Act as a conduit with the Senior Strategist for the Department of Health (who works in the Primary Care Division).
Who we are
Our members
Our member organizations are dedicated to ensuring those struggling with chronic illness, and their caretakers, have a voice in the national conversation.
